The story begins a few years ago when Peter Thornton (drummer) was taking a break from a vast local music career. Peter had a clear vision to put a new band together; he attended a local jam and heard and met local blues guitarist, Aiden Battenally. A few jams later and it was clear these guys had a connection. It wasn’t long before Aiden discovered Peter could sing and had the vocal range of Brian Johnson and Robert Plant and could do it while playing drums! It was at this point they decided to form Black Wagon but they needed one more, a bass player. Enter Peter Davidson! They met Peter at a local jam night and asked him to stand in for some tunes. Instantly they both knew Peter was the right guy for the job. Not only could Peter keep up with the high energy set list but his creamy licks and Jack Bruce like bass fills add flavour to the mix which has helped create a high energy blues based rock act that loves nothing more than to blow the roof off any room they play.
